Volvo On Call launched in Russia and Austria

Volvo Cars continues its market roll-out of a Pan European telematics service by adding Russia and Austria, an important move says the company since these markets represent a large population and a wide geographical spread. The service, provided by WirelessCar, is already established in 13 European countries: Germany, Spain, Norway, Switzerland, the UK, Sweden, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg, while the service is also supported in Denmark and Portugal although it is not sold as an option.

 

EU-Russia Road Infrastructure Research Cooperation

It will bring together European and Russian experts in the field of road infrastructure to work in cooperation and research activities. Russian and EU Stakeholders will use this workshop to discuss priorities research areas and identify themes suitable for international cooperation.

In the near future the situation in the capital's roads may be to improve the quality. Everybody knows the heavy traffic situation, which every day must face Russia's motorists - this multi-kilometer traffic jams, and frequent accidents annually carry off tens of thousands of lives. To address these problems in most countries with developed economies are developed and implemented development program of intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
