In the near future the situation in the capital's roads may be to improve the quality

Everybody knows the heavy traffic situation, which every day must face Russia's motorists - this multi-kilometer traffic jams, and frequent accidents annually carry off tens of thousands of lives. To address these problems in most countries with developed economies are developed and implemented development program of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Do not remain aloof and Russia, where the participation of the Professional Association in Vehicle Risk Prevention was created Non commercial Partnership "Intelligent Transportation Systems - Russia (" TTI - Russia "), one of whose goals is to organize the transfer of international experience in the creation and operation of ITS on Russian roads. Major issues and challenges that could determine the direction of "ITS - Russia", were identified at the press conference "The problems of safety on the roads of Russia", held in an insurance company Ingosstrakh.

Emergency call (eCall). A striking example of the result of the countries - EU members is the introduction in the European Union automated alert system emergency responders to the effects of road accidents - Emergency call (eCall) as a component of ITS. Since 2010, this system must be equipped with every machine. The point is simple: in case of accident or other contingency situations built into the machine, the device automatically sends a signal to the control panel to coordinate the actions of emergency services, including ambulance services.

Thus, according to the director of association "ITS - Europe" Vincent Blervaque annually can save up to 2,5 thousand inhabitants of European countries. "And we are looking for opportunities, how to synchronize the launch of this program in the market" - he adds.

At this stage, the priorities in the direction of cooperation between Russia and European companies in the field of road safety. "This work, which together holds" ITS - Europe "and" ITS - Russia ", supported by the European Union. We plan to jointly develop and implement pilot projects of ITS in some cities of Russia to improve people's lives," - said Vincent Blervaque.

"We realized that the potential of satellite systems goes far beyond the goals that we set in the Association - countering hijacking, that the possibilities of satellite systems make it possible to solve important problems to improve road safety. And our way to the idea of Russia's equivalent of eCall has been natural "- says the president of the Professional Association of impeding theft of vehicles, a member of the supervisory board" ITS - Russia and the Deputy Director General Ingosstrakh Igor Yamova.

Raises the question: how much would cost such a system is an ordinary consumer Russia after its integration? According to Igor Yamova, more recently, expert evaluation of sets of equipment capable of performing the functions eCall for one car was about 20-25 thousand rubles. "We set a target for developers to bring it down to 10 thousand rubles. This system can be introduced in Russia as an additional service when selling a car. The cost of the equipment is lower than the larger number of machines they will be equipped," - said a representative of ITS - Russia. "

Matters improve road safety, reduce mortality and severity of accidents are in the field of view of the legislative and executive authorities, municipalities and solved in the light of existing realities.

According to the Chairman of the Commission on Security of the Moscow City Duma Inna Svyatenko, currently in Moscow, apply measures to reduce the time of arrival of aid to the injured in a road accident. "All the positions of stationary traffic police on duty around the clock" Ambulance "in order to minimize the time before the arrival of an accident. And the second important technology that is used in the city - this aircraft. Are available, three medical helicopters, which fly to the place of accident" - says Inna Svyatenko.

According to the participants of ITS, the system can significantly reduce accidents on roads and qualitatively improve the situation. As summed up the Presidential Adviser Association ITS - America "Gerald Connover with the addition of a professional association of ITS - Russia" to the existing two decades associations - ITS - America "," ITS - Europe "," ITS - Japan, we can build specific projects and to interact on a global level for the development of intelligent transport systems.

The relevance of this approach is not in doubt. Speaking last week at the opening of the First World Ministerial Conference on road safety, President Dmitry Medvedev said: "We are convinced that we must begin immediately and jointly develop a systematic measures to ensure road safety. You can coordinate them in such a way as coordinated work to overcome the economic crisis. "
